Painting

Jason Trotter (b. 1972, Centralia, Illinois) is an American artist known for bold geometric abstract painting. A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Trotter is a self-taught painter whose practice is informed by the legacy of Josef Albers, Carmen Herrera, and Ellsworth Kelly, bringing a contemporary clarity to the traditions of hard-edged abstraction.

His work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across the United States and Europe, with a recent solo exhibition in New York at Voltz Clarke Gallery, where he is represented. Trotter’s practice has been featured in publications including Forbes, The Hollywood Reporter, and Manhattan Magazine.
